Sometime ago,I ran into Onye at the Walmart off Dayton and Hampden.He was on the grocery aisle check -out .Onyi recognised me and we had a brief but very pleasant conversation of what a great provider he is for his kids.Of course, he wanted to know how Chinaka and Ogechi were doing.I asked about his baby sister Adamma.OMG, Onye lighted up telling me about her and her kids. What a pr iceless moment!!!

Onye loved fish! He had a huge fish tank with huge fish in it. There was Cat-Cat (the catfish) and Swerve (the arowana.) Well, at some point Cat-Cat managed to eat a piece of the pump and it was lodged somewhere inside her. After a few days of watching her, he saw that she was sick and in distress. Sooooo, Onye decided to perform an emergency surgery on her with me as the assistant!!!! HA! Me?? Touch a fish?? As if!!!!!.....but because I loved him so, I did it! I put heavy duty rubber gloves and socks on my hands, then wrapped them in plastic King Sooper bags with duct tape and after one, two or maybe even three shots, I was prepped for surgery! I held Cat-Cat while he used a pair of pliers (which he sterilized) to reach in and grab the piece the was stuck inside the fish. I was shaking like a leaf, Cat-Cat was gaging, and Onye was laughing at me! I could feel the piece coming up and I just couldn't take it anymore so I dropped the fish! It was flopping around in the sink and I took off!!! LOL!! He put the fish back in the tank for a few minutes and gave me the pep talk about how important it was to save the fish. I said, I wasn't ready and he told me, "If you stay ready, you ain't gotta get ready." So, Round 2.......I was still shaking like a leaf but I held the fish steady enough so that he could remove the plastic cap with the pliers. WE DID IT!!! We saved Cat-Cat's life!! I am sharing this story to say, Onye cared about ALL things!! I am a better person because of the things he taught me and the love he showed me. RIP my friend <3

I wanted to share a story about the time you needed more money to play this big horse race at the track and you said to me, "help me out I think I can catch this race". When those horses came across that finish line your face was priceless! You yelled so loud, "I hit 1600.00". My friend, you are the man!!!
