Obituary of OnyeKachi Jonathan Udogwu

Onyekachi Jonathon Udogwu, affectionately known as "Onye," entered the world on March 21, 1976 in Denver, Colorado. His first name "Onyekachi" means who is greater than God. Born to the union of Gabriel and Geraldine Udogwu, Onye was born and raised in Denver and educated in Denver Public School System. Onye grew up in Park Hill and loved playing football for the Skyland Pirates. In his youth, he had dual citizenship between the United States and Nigeria. He lived in Nigeria during part of his high school years where he worked with computers. Onye was a skilled painter who painted the interior and exterior of houses and worked as event security. He enjoyed writing and recording music with his cousins, swimming, fishing, traveling, bowling, art, his fish aquariums and spending time with friends and family. At the age of 25, Onye was diagnosed with congestive heart failure. He lived with a limited functioning heart for many years and, after a courageous battle, passed away on March 3, 2015. Onye is survived by his father Gabriel Chimezie Udogwu of Owerri, Nigeria, his mother Geraldine Elaine Passmore of Denver, two sons Isaiah and Deshawn both of Denver, sister Cheryl Clark of Aurora, her children Vincent Jr. "VJ" of Davidson, North Carolina, Martin and Malcolm both of Aurora, sister Dr. Felicia Clark of Denver and sister Adanma Milton (Johnny), and their children Malinda, Keziah, Johnny III, and Leela all of St. Mary's Georgia. He also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. We would like you to remember Onye "was just glad to be here" as he would often say!
